The Italian-Albanian archaeological mission at Çuka e Ajtoit, Konispol, Albania of Sapienza Università di Roma is operating in 2023 with the official recognition and financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The granting of the Institutional Recognition and Financial Support was resolved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, following consultation with the Advisory Working Group for the Promotion of Italian Culture and Language Abroad, Archaeological Missions section.
The 2023 campaign took place between 14 May and 13 June 2023 and involved researchers and students from Sapienza, as well as researchers from the Albanian Institute of Archaeology and students from the University of Tirana.
Further initiatives to disseminate and share the scientific results with the research community are planned for the coming months and will be announced promptly on this page.
