As part of the Lab on the landscapes of southern Albania and of the Archaeological Mission to Çuka e Ajtoit (ancient Kestría) directed by Julian Bogdani, the main features of human settlement and landscape in southern Albania from the Middle Ages to the modern era will be examined. The main goal of the lab is to provide the skills needed to prepare a georeferenced bibliographic database, using the digital tools Zotero and QGIS. This will allow for efficient and accurate management of the information gathered and a better understanding of the territory and of the human communities that have inhabited it over the centuries.
The Lab on the landscapes of southern Albania will be run by Noemi Giovino (Sapienza Università di Roma) for the Chair of Medieval Archaeology at Sapienza Università di Roma (Prof. Francesca Romana Stasolla).
For further information about the days and times of the meetings, please contact Noemi Giovino at noemi.giovino@uniroma1.it.
