GARR (the consortium that manages the cloud infrastructure hosting the Laboratory’s servers) has announced a scheduled shutdown of the Catania data centre (region garr-ct1), necessary for extraordinary maintenance work on the UPS system.
As a result, LAD services hosted on this infrastructure will be temporarily unreachable starting at 4:00 PM on Tuesday 28 July until Thursday 30 July 2026.
What will be temporarily unavailable
- Platforms and online databases hosted on our cloud servers (including excavation databases and related tools)
- File storage services (Object Store)
We invite you to plan your activities accordingly, avoiding scheduling critical operations on our online systems during this time window. No data will be lost: this is a controlled shutdown of the physical infrastructure, not an intervention on the content.
