On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September 2022, the sixteenth edition of the International ArcheoFOSS Conference: Open software, hardware, processes, data and formats in the archaeological research will take place.
This year’s edition is hosted by Sapienza’s DigiLab Research Centre, in the Giorgio Levi della Vida hall, at the “ex Vetrerie Sciarra” site of the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, realised with the support of the Directorate-General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes, Ministry of Culture and with the support of LAD.
The conference is structured into eight panels addressing specific topics relating to the application of the open science model to archaeological and, more broadly, humanities research, and to the development, application and dissemination of free and open source digital technologies for scientific research in the humanities, with the participation of a wide and international audience of speakers.
The conference proceedings can also be followed online.
